If I Was Going to Prom...

Hello there!

So I am a senior in high school and it's prom season however I cannot go to mine because I already have plans for that night that I'm not willing to cancel. However I do have this huge plan in my head of what I would be doing if I went to prom and decided to share my plan on here! I hope you enjoy...

To start off with the most important part... I absolutely love this dress, I always have. I have no idea where it's sold but I've seen it on Pinterest before and it was always my dream dress, pink and gold are my favorite colors and this dress embodies the pink spirit with perfect rose gold accents, this is like a fairytale dress to me.

I've always admired these huge waves as I have annoyingly frizzy curly hair. I've never been able to accomplish such beautiful things in my hair but if I had the occasion to do so I would go to a salon and have this hairstyle done professionally. For the strapless dress I picked out, I think a completely down hairstyle would go perfectly

I would just pair it with simple rose gold hoops to match the dress' accents and plain black wedges as not to contrast with any other part of the outfit.

For makeup I think I would go pretty light and just do rosy, light pink colors and definitely use some of the darker colors in the Naked 3 palette to accentuate such a beautiful color.

Anyways, that's my short spiel about prom, it is a little sad that I didn't get to go but some things are more important than high school dances...

I really hope you enjoyed reading and comment below: Did you go to your prom? What was is like?

Have a Wonderful Day!

Springtime Haul - Clothes

Hello there!

I splurged a bit at the mall today but a shopping spree has been long overdue, I haven't bought much since the bankruptcy that is Christmas. Most of what I bought is very Spring-season related so today I thought I'd do a Springtime haul post because I'm so excited!

Aeropostale

I found this skirt 1/2 off, the smallest size was a Medium so it's a bit big and it's quite longer than the normal skater skirt but I think that'll make it perfect for short fitted crop tops and a cardigan, the perfect staple summer outfit.

The pastel mint, blue, and lavender in the skirt all pop against the solid black and I didn't know if I'd like such a small, crowded pattern but I really love it.

Camis are one of my biggest staples, I wouldn't be able to wear any of my sheer or more fitted shirts without them and the color I wear most is without a doubt white. I got plain white round and v-neck ones and a unique lace one. However I only got 3 because of their sale (pretty sure I live on sales these days) and all 3 were only $15 :)

I love the lace, especially under cardigans like...

...this one. I've never had a colored cardigan and have been lusting over this one on the Aero site for the past few weeks so I was really happy to find this in store, especially for only $15. Cardigans might be my favorite piece of clothing because they transform an outfit from morning to afternoon to night and are easy to carry.

It's starting to warm up here and I had absolutely no shorts after losing a bit of weight this past year and needed new ones. So I got two pairs from Aero, a light and dark denim pair because denim is the easiest to wear and match. Both are mid rise because high waisteds never seem to fit me right.

I really needed new tank tops and I completely adore the color coral so I grabbed these two as soon as I saw them. They were both about $10. The right one is cotton but the left is a very sheer fabric so of course I needed something to wear under it...

Victoria's Secret

So I got some bandeaus! VS had a 2 for $32 sale and to start my collection off I wanted to do black and white ones.

The black one is lace but the front has a solid lining underneath, quite a lovely lace

However I was sad that I couldn't find any normal white bandeaus, lace or solid, so I settled for this glittery lacey one which I may end up liking even more, who knows?

Lastly I snagged two more pairs of denim shorts only because I live in such a hot place and end up wearing shorts everyday in summer

So these were from Kohl's, the Mudd brand and I loved that these were cut-offs which I have none of and the adorable stitching on the pockets, quite short but in 100 degree weather I really don't care but these might be my favorite pair so far...

And I got these from Target, their Mossimo brand, they're shorter than the Aero shorts and low waisted which is my favorite waist fit but I try and vary everything.

Anyways, there's my detailed analysis of everything I bought, I'm really, really, really, really excited because new season and new clothes and new trends and ohmygodIgraduatefromhighschoolsoonwhyamIthinkingaboutthisrightnowIdon'tknow

Comment below what's your favorite Spring color? I'd love to talk!

Spring Decorating

Hello there!

So Spring hit last week and I am getting excited. I love all of the seasons and every new one puts an extra jolt in my step even though California is acting like winter at the moment. I especially enjoy redecorating my room to somehow match the seasons and Spring is no exception.

Today I went out to my front yard and cut some beautiful orange roses to keep around my room in these cute little glass jars. I liked the ideas of surrounding it with tiny flowers and leaves so I made one of each and love them both.

I liked them on the sides of my cable box to brighten up a dull area

And next to my quote board to make my nightstand even more inspirational

I filled them both with water however my annoying kitten came in overnight and decided the roses were his new toys so they were destroyed and I refilled them with the smaller orange flowers. However I will probably just end up buying some fake flowers.

I really want to fill my room with flowers, I found several ideas with flowers and other beautiful things on Pinterest (see my board here).

For me, part of Spring decorating is Spring cleaning which I've done a bit of and hope to do more of throughout the season even though I'm moving in 4 months and will completely clean out then.

I went through my dresser and weeded out things to give away and things to store until Winter rolls around again. I always find new clothes I've forgotten about and think of new outfits so double plus there.

This is my nightstand drawer, I always keep a few notebooks to write in (which I love doing), paper and whiteboard utensils, a lighter for the candles I always have burning, and random bits and bobs in the little bag.

I feel like having a cluttered room (even when you can't see it) clutters my mind a bit and I always feel this sense of ease when everything is organized, maybe I'm a little OCD.

Anyways, those are just a couple of things I've done so far, hopefully I'll get more done eventually. However I didn't realize how close I was to moving until I wrote this post and I'm thinking it might not be worth it until I'm in my new room...

Comment below: what's your favorite part of Spring?

Have a Wonderful Spring Day!

Trends I'm Loving

Hello there!

Unfortunately I've recently hit an economic roadblock and lacking any money for new products, I found myself at a lack as a beauty writer. However, I've now decided to come back and write as much as I can so I apologize for the lengthy break and hope to do better now :)

Also during my break I hit 300 followers which is so amazing, THANK YOU!!! <3

Anyways, as spring approaches we all clean out our closets and make way for the new. Inspired by Fashion Week a la Paris, I have come up with some trends I think will be interesting this exciting Spring...

Pale Pink

As rosy blogs have increased on Tumblr and flowers start to bloom I have fallen in love with the pale pink color, a color I noticed on the runway of one of my favorite designers, Ellie Saab, as well.

... And other Pastel Colors

While the pale pink would have to be my favorite, I loved all of the other pastels on the runway this year like this wonderful purple, they're all so energetic yet soft, making me want to jump into spring and buy some new sundresses.

Light Eye Makeup

Last year, the world was all about eyeliner, thick and brave, wings sharp enough to kill a man, but lately I've been favoring much less eyeliner or none at all. I've found a nice coat of mascara makes me look awake without crowding out my eyes or looking overdone. I still see women who look flawlessly beautiful with as much eyeliner as they want but I think I'm over it, at least for awhile. A nice plus is it takes almost 10 minutes out of my morning, perfecting flawlessly symmetrical wings...

Crop Tops

Last summer these started becoming very popular but they were judged so harshly I didn't dare get one but it's looking like they're going to come back this warm season. I'm excited and I will definitely be getting some this year, they are adorable with high waisted shorts, skirts, and work perfectly for the blazing California heat.

Floral Patterns

This one may have been my favorite, I'm really loving flowers right now... like a lot. I've already noticed my favorite shops releasing floral everything skirts and shirts, bows and almost everything you could imagine putting a flower on is now rosy and ready to be worn in this lovely spring season. My favorite flowers are peonies but I think almost everything is roses which are equally as beautiful.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post on my favorite new trends, what are some of your new favorites? Tell me in the comments below!

Nightly Routine! -Winter

Hello there!

So today I was going through my Youtube subscriptions since I am the only one awake this early which is pretty funny since I was also the last one to go to sleep... Anyways I was watching Bethany's nightly routine video and I was inspired! Here's my current routine!

Starting from when I get home:

So after a long day at school I will usually grab a snack and I tend to grab some fruit or cereal (my loves) or both!

Then I have about an hour before I leave for the gym so if I have any homework I'll get it done and if not I'll go on some sort of social media like Bloglovin, Pinterest, Twitter or Youtube. I know, I'm a really crazy teenager ;)

Having fun with Photography at the gym...
Delicious home cooked meal with some vlogs

After a good hour workout I'll come home and eat dinner which half of the time will be my parents cooking something and the other half I'll just grab a quick lean cuisine. Not that healthy but that's just my life :)

After dinner it's usually around 7 o clock and I start working on musical things, I'll play guitar for awhile, work on songs and look for new songs to either try to play or try to rewrite as I find this very interesting

I shower at 9 pm almost every night. Mostly because it's quieter than than playing guitar but loud enough to wake everyone up, which I try not to do. Before showering I usually take out my contacts and wipe away all of my eye makeup to avoid the skunk eyes.

Unless I've just straightened my hair, I almost always wash it since I work out once or twice a day which gets my hair all sweaty. I use the TRESemme split end treatment shampoo and conditioner, brush my hair in the shower, shave, wash with Tone's sugar exfoliating scrub, and wash my face with Proactiv facial cleanser.

Post shower is the most fun part. I moisturize the ends of my hair with Carol's Daughters leave in moisturizer, then put 2 products in my hair: one for curl definition (Paul Mitchell's Curl Defining Styling Gel) and one to tone down the frizz my hair so loves (L'Oreal Smooth Intense Xtreme Straight Creme)

Then I brush, floss, and wash out my teeth because they are far from white, I use Crest for them all as it's what my dentist recommends. I then use Proactiv's toner and repairing treatment along with the night cream which smells amazing

I then put my hair into a long fishtail braid as that's what gets my curls looking the best. If my skin is feeling dry (as it is now) I'll use Bath and Body Works Merry Marshmallow body cream, again smells amazing! And I can finally walk out of the bathroom...

Can't work without my cats!

By then it's about 10 pm and everyone else is asleep. I usually start to write and take pictures and edit until I've done some amount of work and go on social media and basically just be an internet kid... I have severe insomnia so I'll stay up until at least midnight sometimes up to 3 am and do random things I find to do in the middle of the night until I'm actually tired enough to go to sleep

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it was somewhat life-y again but I tried to focus on the beauty part of my night the most.

What's your nightly routine? Leave me a comment below, I'd love to read!

Have A Wonderful Day!

Mini Haul- Mall trip

Hello there!

So I've just returned from the mall on a mini-Christmas shopping trip on which I got a few presents for my mom and a couple things for myself so I thought I'd share my mini haul with you all.

See's Candies

This was the first place I saw and of course I cannot pass one of these without stopping inside and I saw this amazing set pre-wrapped of the flavored chocolates (one of my mom's favorites) so I bought her a huge box of them for only $5! They were on sale and I'm impressed with this price.
(the red and gold wrapped gift above)

Yankee Candle

How can you go to a mall with a Yankee Candle and not stop inside? My mom used to burn candles all the time when I was younger and she's the one who led me to fall in love with them. So I found the perfect, yet affordable gift for her. Here's a mini candle holder with adorable snow, pine cone, and tree paintings on it. It only cost $8 and the sample candles you put inside, which I bought 3 of (2 of Christmas Cookie, 1 Palm Tree), were $2 so it wasn't bad at all and although the small candles will burn quickly I can always go back and keep buying new different scents for her.

Aeropostale

This was one of my favorite stores in middle school and I stopped liking it for awhile but they've really stepped up their game and with the new Bethany Mota collection, I know the store will be improving :) I found a simple, yet adorable sweatshirt for only $10 so I grabbed that for myself

Bath and Body Works

I probably spent the most time in here. First of all it's Christmas time so they have the amazing Christmas scents which I love and second,  they were having a buy 3, get 3 free day, so I went a little crazy and bought 6 amazing products. I also had a $10 coupon so overall I got 6 bath and body works products for $28 dollars, life. was. crazy.

I got:
Fresh Sparkling Snow Hand Soap
Merry Marshmallow Body Cream
Winter Candy Apple Body Mist
all for myself

and I got the

Lavender Vanilla sleep Pillow Mist
Vanilla Bean Noel Body Lotion
and Cranberry Twinkle Body Lotion
all for my mom as she loves lotion

I'm so so excited for Christmas so I can give everybody their gifts and see how they like them, I love shopping and shopping for myself is fun but getting to shop for others is so much harder and makes it so much more fun and exciting.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this smallish haul. Comment below what you enjoy more: buying and giving gifts or receiving them?

Have a Wonderfully Festive Day!

PS Thank you to the wonderful cashier at Bath and Body Works who gave me the extra $10 coupon, I really appreciated it :)
